Alfreeda Goff

Alfreeda Goff is one our most tenured and treasured members of the athLEDA Arise executive advisory board.


She has been a mentor to Tracey Hathaway for years as Tracey served in athletic leadership and is a champion for women’s equity in sport.

Alfreeda served as a former senior associate commissioner and chief championships administrator at the Horizon League for 17 year and is a recent inductee to the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame.

Goff served as an assistant track and field coach at the University of Pittsburgh in 1975 before serving as head coach for six years. She later climbed the administrative ranks as the administrative assistant for the women's athletic and departmental scheduling at Pitt. Goff joined the Horizon League in 1998 after spending four years as the director of athletics at Virginia State University. In addition to being senior associate commissioner and chief championships administratior, Goff served as chief of staff for a period with the League, as well as the Senior Woman Administrator for the office
