Edna P. Spencer Scholarship

Who was Edna P. Spencer & Why You Should Support a Scholarship in Her Name?

Edna P. Spencer was a warrior who dedicated her life to fighting inequities and worked for change for underrepresented peoples.

To our co-founder Tracey Hathaway, Edna was her beloved aunt, and just like Aunt Edna, Tracey tirelessly serves her community and dedicates her life to the fight for social justice.

Edna was a light to many young lives and was recognized for her extraordinary leadership and service to the community. She was awarded not one but two keys to the city of Worcester, as well as awards such as: the National Conference of Christians and Jews Brotherhood Award, the MLK Community Service Award, the Katherine Erskine Award for Education, the Massachusetts Teachers Association Civil Rights Award, and the Quinsigamond Community College Citizens Award.

Let us honor both of these amazing warrior women for the resilience and service by supporting the Edna P. Spencer Scholarship. The scholarship will support the advancement of young people of Color. No donation is too big or too small!
